Being the bearer of good news is much like getting the chance to be Father Christmas for the day. “I'm really excited that hardcore techno finally gets the exposure it deserves,” Danny ...

Style: Hardcore techno

Best known for: 'Raise Your Fist', I'm doing a remix for the new album

Tune of 2011: Outblast 'The Voice Of Mayhem'.

Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2011: Dyprax. A new talent from the Master Of Hardcore group
What's the future of DJing? I think probably CDs will disappear, probably everyone will be DJing with USB sticks. I see a lot of people using Traktor

Favourite app? It's definitely Twitter. It's a cool way to stay in touch with people and to see what everyone's doing and where everyone's going.

Discovery of the year? There's a new TV show here in Holland called Holland's In The Hood, it's my favourite at the moment.

Rediscovery of the year? Liberate 'Unexist', I used to play it a lot a few years ago and I just started playing it again a few months ago.

Awkward Moment? “I did a poll on my Facebook page where people should send videos on why they should win one of my hoodies, but I sent them out really late and people were complaining

Style or substance? Substance. Because when you think about style, it's limiting, you must think outside the box

Pet Hate? What's your pet hate? “When my Cubase crashes!”

“I'm really excited that hardcore techno finally gets the exposure it deserves,” Danny from Angerfist reveals, when DJmag Santa tells him that he is not on the naughty list, despite some of his colourful lyrics.

The Dutch master of hardcore has spent most of this year touring the US and Europe with MC Prozac, while working at the same time on his new album 'Retaliate', due for release this month.
“It's got a lot of collaborations, fresh stuff and remixes from the best tracks of the past two years,” Danny explains.
A remix of his anthemic 'Raise Your Fist' will also appear on the album, and a following intent on turning Angerfist gigs into one giant moshpit is definitely on the cards
