What's the future of DJing? If only I knew, I'd be one step ahead... but I think bigger shows with production/visuals etc
Favourite app? Angry Birds - I can't believe it that every time I'm on a plane there's someone sitting next to me playing it.
Discovery of the year? If you want to re-do a house in Italy with an English flavour, you spend a year as a builder
Rediscovery of the year? Marshall Jefferson 'Move Your Body'. I was a fan of the track and they just asked us to remix it!”
Awkward Moment? Not recognizing Chuckie at a check-in at an airport. I thought he was a fan and was in a bit of a hurry. He was then sitting next to me on the plane!
Style or substance? Both... but often for a DJ, style gets the upper hand
Pet Hate? Kids sitting behind me on a plane kicking against the back of my seat. It's not their fault, I know, but why don't their parents ever tell them to stop it

He does admit, though, to being influenced by plenty of new sounds in the last 12 months. “I think the Benassi sound evolves all the time, but slowly!” he says. “I have been really enjoying the dubstep thing and Skrillex's remix of 'Cinema' was an eye-opener to me - respect to the new generation!”
As a result of this re-invigoration, Benny's had a busy year in the studio remixing Florence & The Machine and Far East Movement, and collaborating with US sensation Chris Brown on 'Beautiful People' and Gary Go on 'Cinema' (the latter even performed live with him at Creamfields and on tour in the US), but so too has there been a full-length album.
“I produce with Alle and we wanted to do an album that was half songs and half club tracks,” he explains. “We were very happy with the collaborations and support we got from some amazing artists - it was quite experimental for us to work with rappers, r&b singers and pop singers, and a great challenge!”
